Sony Alpha Workshop in Kathmandu

One of the authorized distributors of Sony Corporation in Nepal Nepa Hima Trade Link successfully organized two days Sony Alpha Workshop in collaboration with Sony Singapore on 12th and 13th September in Kathmandu, Nepal. According to Nepal distributor Nepa Hima, the main purposes of workshop were 1) giving information of very new technology and camera settings of latest Sony Alpha series cameras, 2) close interaction of Sony distributor with Sony users and 3) giving chance to Hands-on Sony Alpha camera for all participants separately to get practical experience of Sony camera with self handling. That was the very first time in Nepal organized such kind of workshop by Sony distributor. – Nepa Hima said.

The workshop was conducted on two days in Hattiban Resort in Kathmandu. First day was concentrated on photography and second day on videography. In both days, the number of participants was notable and memorable. The Organizer and Sony Singapore had provided multiple cameras models to all participants. The most appreciable job of the workshop was providing separate camera to all participants and they could exchange camera and lens with close friend if they wish to get experience from other device.

First day photography workshop

The first day was photography workshop. There were 26 participants on that day. Professional photographer and amateur both types of people were included in participation. The Organizer had provided 3 models of Sony Alpha series cameras and all were Sony’s E-mount (mirrorless) body. Multiple variety lenses also supplied for different models. Sony Alpha α6300, Alpha α6500 and Alpha α7R II were provided camera models of the day.

Second day videography workshop

Total 29 people, Professional and amateur, were participated on that day. 4 Sony models were practically used on test. Those Alpha series E-mount cameras were Sony Alpha α6300, Alpha α6500, Alpha α7R and Alpha α7S II. Actually video camcorders were not provided. The workshop was concentrated on videography with still camera, especially on shooting with Alpha series E-mount body and lens.

All participants were so happy with Sony’s Alpha series Hands-on test and feeling gratefully getting chance to participate such kind of fruitful workshop. Personally I’m also so happy with the workshop. In my test, I’m so impressed with Sony Alpha series and loved Sony camera’s 1) Correct metering, 2) Fast Auto-focus, 3) Enrich color image 4) High Dynamic Range and 5) Very effective and innovative features.
